Mangifera indica, commonly known as mango, is a species of flowering. It is a large fruit tree, capable of growing to a height of 30 metres (100 feet). There are two distinct genetic populations in modern mangoes – the “Indian type” and the “Southeast Asian type”.
The Totapuri Mango is also grown in the Indian States of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. These mangoes are large in size and golden yellow in colour. It is oblong in shape and has a prominent beak-like pointed end.
