Poosa Arunima/Pusa Arunima Mango Plant

Mangifera indica, commonly known as mango, is a species of flowering. It is a large fruit tree, capable of growing to a height of 30 metres (100 feet). There are two distinct genetic populations in modern mangoes – the “Indian type” and the “Southeast Asian type”.

Pusa Arunima is a hybrid, derived from the cross between Amrapali and Sensation. It is a regular bearer and starts bearing after 4 years of planting. It ripens late in the season and its fruits are ready for harvesting by 1st week of August. The fruit size is medium (250 g) having attractive red peel colour.
