Mangifera indica, commonly known as mango, is a species of flowering. It is a large fruit tree, capable of growing to a height of 30 metres (100 feet). There are two distinct genetic populations in modern mangoes – the “Indian type” and the “Southeast Asian type”.
Mundappa Mango is unique to undivided Dakshina Kannada, and some parts of Uttara Kannada in Karnataka and North Kerala. It is juicy, has a unique aroma and is very tasty. Each fruit grows upto 500 Gms maximum but average 300-400 Gms
