The plant ash is used for treating dropsy, swellings, edema, and gout. The dry alcoholic extract of the plant acts as a potent diuretic. Crushed plant parts mixed with sheep milk are given for venereal diseases. Leaf juice is used for throat troubles and asthma. Leaves ground with egg and onion are applied for bone fractures, and leaf paste is applied on wounds.
